ZUMBA®
Lets face it, working out can be healthy, rewarding, beneficial working out can be lots of things, but it’s never been known to be much fun UNTIL NOW!
Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba®!
In the past years Zumba® has become nothing short of a revolution. Coining the concept of fitness-party™ and making fitness fun, Zumba® has spread like wild-fire, and has positioned itself as the single most influential movement in the industry of fitness.
As of April 2009, Zumba® has a rapidly growing community of over 30,000 trained instructors in thirty-five countries, sold millions of DVD’s, and changed the lives of millions of Zumba® Fanatics worldwide.
Why? Because it’s the best party around.
Pilates
A mind body exercise program originally devised by Joseph Pilates in the mid 20th century and still used today by sports professionals, dancers and the general public to improve core strength, spinal mobility, posture, body awareness and to aid recovery from injury.
If you have never done Pilates before, I would suggest attending a beginners course or having a few private lessons before joining an established class. This will ensure that you have the basic Pilates principles in place and that you understand the correct alignment and body positioning needed in order to carry out the exercises to their full potential.
Body Blitz
An aerobic based class designed to work all major muscle groups, occasionally spending a little more time on toning moves, sometimes with resistance bands or mini-balls. This adds a little variety between the Tuesday and Friday classes so no two classes are ever the same.
Studio Cycling
Often known as spinning, this is a class designed to burn calories whilst cycling -indoors- no wind or rain!! The class is set to uplifting, motivating music with lots of your old favourites thrown in for good measure (requests accepted !!) and during it you will simulate fast cycling on flat roads, hill climbs both seated and standing and upright sprints. Due to the variable resistance of the drive wheel you can work as hard as you like- the class should still be enjoyable!
