I hope you are all keeping fit and healthy through our ‘non’ summer. I am holiday until September 12th so please do not think I’m ignoring you if you try to contact me between now and then. I will respond to all emails and texts within 24 hours of my return.

Zumba Class Passes

You can now buy a 10-class pass by visiting the shop and using paypal. What could be easier? Passes should make the signing in to class process a lot quicker, especially as classes have recently become so much busier and they also save you money! The current promotional price of just £37 is valid until the end of September and the pass is valid for a year from your date of purchase. Why not commit to your fitness and buy a couple to last you over the autumn months?

Don’t let our traditional British summer weather dampen your enthusiasm for your fitness classes. There’s no need to let your fitness slide downhill just because it’s wet outside!

I have 30+ intrepid bootcampers halfway through their 4 week programme. Unlike the previous two 4 week camps, this group has had to do several workouts in the rain- and have still been smiling at the end of it. Results are rolling in with one new camper losing 10lbs in weight and 2 inches off her waist in just 2 weeks.

All other classes are running as normal INDOORS- see you really have no excuse!!- throughout the summer.  However, I have now finished teaching classes at Forest Hills Leisure Club. I will have some more daytime classes in the local area starting in the autumn so keep checking back on here or if you haven’t already, please sign up for the take2fitness newsletter by filling in your details in the box on the right. This newsletter will keep you updated on any new classes/ changes and current health and fitness tips to keep your goals within reach.

Zumba news-
For those who attend classes in my Helsby, Frodsham and Chester venues-
If you are one of those who find it a nuisance trying to find the correct change for your Zumba class once if not twice per week, I have a solution for you-

Buy a 10 class pass. This is currently for sale at £37 through this website (click here) or can be bought when you next come to class. For those who buy online, your card will be ready for you to pick up when you next come to class. The passes are valid for a year from the date of purchase. I’m sure you will agree that this should speed up the ‘checking in ‘ process for class, especially as they recently seem to have been getting so much busier, despite the holidays. You will still need to sign in each time and have your card crossed.

From w/c August 9th, loyalty cards will only be issued to new Zumba class attendees. (on return of their completed questionnaire). This will stop you having to bring 2 cards to class, in effect you are still having the same offer with the class pass price of 10 classes for £37.

As my Pilates courses have now finished, I am running some ‘drop in’ Pilates classes starting on Monday 19th July (but please note: no class July 26th). So, if you’ve never tried it or haven’t done it for a while now is your chance to have a go without commiting to a long course. However, if you do pay ahead in combination with another one or two classes per week you can save yourself a whole lot of money, making it daft not to continue with improving your fitness over the summer. 

To keep you on track with your fitness over the summer I have some fabulous deals-

Halfway Through the Year

We are almost halfway through 2010- can you believe it? I hope your year is working out how you planned and that you are on track in achieving your health and fitness goals.

The 2nd take-2 fitness Bootcamp (Fat -Blaster) is in it’s final week, this time with 26 dedicated early morning campers pushing themselves to their limits to become healthier, stronger and fitter. Some people stayed on from the first camp and in addition to all over inches lost from the body some people have lost over 21lbs in weight. On this camp alone one new camper has lost 10lbs in 3 weeks. Fantastic efforts and dedication from everybody. Well done!!

If you would like a piece of Bootcamp action, the next one-’Lose Your Lovehandles’ is starting on July 12th and runs until August 6th. Please contact me for more details.

Zumba carries on with a bit of an African theme this month to tie in with the Football World Cup. If you haven’t been for a while then come and see what you’re missing! Where else can you have so much fun and burn mega calories at the same time. Due to our fab summer weather  I’m even throwing in a free sauna during class!! Bargain.

Pilates courses are coming to an end for the summer but I am planning on running them again in the autumn, Beginners on Sundays and Intermediates on Mondays. Let me know if you’d like your name putting on my lists for those. Don’t delay as they do get booked up pretty quickly. I am still teaching drop in classes at Forest Hills through the summer so if you still need your Pilates fix check my current timetable for details.

I really hope to see you soon in class. Whatever you are doing and wherever you may be, take advantage of the great weather, boost your vitamin D levels in the sunshine but be careful not to burn!

BEACH BODY BOOTCAMP COMPLETED

Well, what a quick month and what fabulous results!! In fact, from start of first session to end of last session was only 3 and a half weeks and in that time, one participant lost 14lb (ONE STONE!!!!) which had been her goal, others lost up to 12lb and everyone lost INCHES from waist, hips and chest meaning that their clothes are no longer tight- what a great excuse to go and buy some new summer clothes. Well done everyone!!!

Beach Body Bootcamp

We are almost halfway through the first Beach Body Bootcamp in Helsby. 18 people have made a commitment to get up early and do three 45minute fat-blaster workouts a week for 4 weeks. Campers are already reporting improvements such as increased energy levels, improved sleep patterns, inch loss (yes, you did read that correctly and yes, it is possible) and weight loss and are well on the way to having a firmer, fitter and healthier body for the summer.

The next Bootcamp (Beach Body Mark 2) will start on June 7th so if you are interested don’t delay- contact me immediately as places are already being booked.  Do something good for your body this summer- you know you’re worth it!!

Bootcampers one week gone

I’d just like to congratulate all my ‘Beach Body Bootcampers’ who have attended 3 early morning sessions so far in their quest to have improved fitness and less fat this summer. Energy levels have been amazing, feedback tremendous and I’m hoping to hear of some inches lost very soon. Keep up the good work !!

With a much awaited rise in temperatures, many of us are thinking about holidays in sunnier climates but the thought of uncovering parts of our body that have been hidden for months under layers of winter clothing fill many with dread.

I’m really excited to launch my first of a series of bootcamps- The Beach Body Bootcamp on May4th.

Except for the first day-a Tuesday- the classes will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until May 27th and are guaranteed to burn fat, tone your body and improve your fitness levels. By following the nutritional guidelines provided on enrolment it is possible to lose 1-2 dress sizes (or trouser waist sizes for men !!) on the 4-week programme.
